Is it just some cute phrase I made up?

Is it just something I got from some book I read?

Or maybe I watched too much Highlander when I was younger and became obsessed with this idea of living forever?

Well, the answer is somewhat related to all three of these.

Look, when I was younger, my father enjoyed some really weird TV shows, alright? Highlander was a good show, I don’t care what anybody says.

Joking aside, Immortal Individuality IS some cute phrase I made up. It is what I chose to embrace after understanding that if I do not embrace my individuality forever, that life was going to keep beating me down, like it was during my teens and 20s.

Did I get this concept from some book I read? Kind of. I got it from a few books that I have read.

These books had one major narrative that they all shared:

You can only do so much about the outside world.

You can only do so much about what has happened to you.

Sometimes you need to rely on yourself for happiness.

Sometimes the change that you desperately want so much can only be brought upon when your light shines.

That’s what Immortal Individuality is. Knowing that outside forces have no effect on how you are feeling and how you decide to treat others.

Deciding to embrace your individuality for an eternity.

Being selfish enough to look after only your own happiness while being unselfish enough to use your light to guide others.

That is who The Immortal Individual is.
